On an F5OS system, if the root user configures the system to allow login using SSH key-based authentication and later enables appliance mode, the system still allows access using SSH key-based authentication. For an attacker to exploit this vulnerability they must obtain possession of a private key corresponding to a previously-configured entry in root's SSH authorizedkeys file.
A crafted request uri-path can cause modproxy to forward the request to an origin server choosen by the remote user. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.48 and earlier.
Sequence of processor instructions leads to unexpected behavior for some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege and/or information disclosure and/or denial of service via local access.
In F5OS-A version 1.x before 1.1.0 and F5OS-C version 1.x before 1.5.0, excessive file permissions in F5OS allows an authenticated local attacker to execute limited set of commands in a container and impact the F5OS controller.

Improper input validation in UEFI firmware error handler for some Intel(R) Processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
Apache HTTP Server could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by an encoding flaw in modproxy. By sending specially crafted requests with incorrect encoding an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass authentication validation.
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nftables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The nftverdictinit() function allows positive values as drop error within the hook verdict, and hence the nfhookslow() function can cause a double free vulnerability when NFDROP is issued with a drop error which resembles NFACCEPT. We recommend upgrading past commit f342de4e2f33e0e39165d8639387aa6c19dff660.
On F5OS-A beginning in version 1.2.0 to before 1.3.0 and F5OS-C beginning in version 1.3.0 to before 1.5.0, processing F5OS tenant file names may allow for command injection. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
A potential security vulnerability in some Intel(R) Atom(R) and Intel(R) Xeon(R) Scalable Processors may allow escalation of privilege. Intel is releasing firmware updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability.

The Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement Protocol allows remote attackers (from the client side) to send arbitrary numbers that are actually not public keys, and trigger expensive server-side DHE modular-exponentiation calculations, aka a D(HE)at or D(HE)ater attack. The client needs very little CPU resources and network bandwidth. The attack may be more disruptive in cases where a client can require a server to select its largest supported key size. The basic attack scenario is that the client must claim that it can only communicate with DHE, and the server must be configured to allow DHE.
Insufficient granularity of access control in out-of-band management in some Intel(R) Atom and Intel Xeon Scalable Processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via adjacent network access.
Out-of-bounds write in the Intel(R) 800 Series Ethernet Driver for Intel(R) Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack before versions 29.1 may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via adjacent access.
Processing F5OS tenant file names may allow for command injection.
Protection mechanism failure in firmware for some Intel(R) Ethernet Network Controllers and Adapters E810 Series before version 4.4 may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via network access.
When running in appliance mode, an authenticated attacker assigned the Administrator or Resource Administrator role may be able to bypass Appliance mode restrictions utilizing system diagnostics tcpdump command utility on a F5OS-A/C system.
On F5OS, an improper authorization vulnerability exists where remotely authenticated users (LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+) may be authorized with higher privilege F5OS roles.
In ssh in OpenSSH before 9.6, OS command injection might occur if a user name or host name has shell metacharacters, and this name is referenced by an expansion token in certain situations. For example, an untrusted Git repository can have a submodule with shell metacharacters in a user name or host name.
NSS was susceptible to a timing side-channel attack when performing RSA decryption. This attack could potentially allow an attacker to recover the private data. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 124, Firefox ESR < 115.9, and Thunderbird < 115.9.
Information exposure through microarchitectural state after transient execution in certain vector execution units for some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
When LDAP remote authentication is configured on F5OS, a remote user without an assigned role will be incorrectly authorized.
When LDAP remote authentication is configured on F5OS, a remote user without an assigned role will be incorrectly authorized.
Improper access control in some 3rd Generation Intel(R) Xeon(R) Scalable processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request Smuggling') vulnerability in modproxyajp of Apache HTTP Server allows an attacker to smuggle requests to the AJP server it forwards requests to. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server Apache HTTP Server 2.4 version 2.4.54 and prior versions.
Improper access control in some 3rd Generation Intel(R) Xeon(R) Scalable processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
A timing based side channel exists in the OpenSSL RSA Decryption implementation which could be sufficient to recover a plaintext across a network in a Bleichenbacher style attack. To achieve a successful decryption an attacker would have to be able to send a very large number of trial messages for decryption. The vulnerability affects all RSA padding modes: PKCS#1 v1.5, RSA-OEAP and RSASVE. For example, in a TLS connection, RSA is commonly used by a client to send an encrypted pre-master secret to the server. An attacker that had observed a genuine connection between a client and a server could use this flaw to send trial messages to the server and record the time taken to process them. After a sufficiently large number of messages the attacker could recover the pre-master secret used for the original connection and thus be able to decrypt the application data sent over that connection. The public API function BIOnewNDEF is a helper function used for streaming ASN.1 data via a BIO. It is primarily used internally to OpenSSL to support the SMIME, CMS and PKCS7 streaming capabilities, but may also be called directly by end user applications. The function receives a BIO from the caller, prepends a new BIOfasn1 filter BIO onto the front of it to form a BIO chain, and then returns the new head of the BIO chain to the caller. Under certain conditions, for example if a CMS recipient public key is invalid, the new filter BIO is freed and the function returns a NULL result indicating a failure. However, in this case, the BIO chain is not properly cleaned up and the BIO passed by the caller still retains internal pointers to the previously freed filter BIO. If the caller then goes on to call BIOpop() on the BIO then a use-after-free will occur. This will most likely result in a crash. This scenario occurs directly in the internal function B64writeASN1() which may cause BIOnewNDEF() to be called and will subsequently call BIOpop() on the BIO. This internal function is in turn called by the public API functions PEMwritebioASN1stream, PEMwritebioCMSstream, PEMwritebioPKCS7stream, SMIMEwriteASN1, SMIMEwriteCMS and SMIMEwritePKCS7. Other public API functions that may be impacted by this include i2dASN1biostream, BIOnewCMS, BIOnewPKCS7, i2dCMSbiostream and i2dPKCS7biostream. The OpenSSL cms and smime command line applications are similarly affected.
A use after free vulnerability exists in curl <7.87.0. Curl can be asked to tunnel virtually all protocols it supports through an HTTP proxy. HTTP proxies can (and often do) deny such tunnel operations. When getting denied to tunnel the specific protocols SMB or TELNET, curl would use a heap-allocated struct after it had been freed, in its transfer shutdown code path.
A Speculative Race Condition (SRC) vulnerability that impacts modern CPU architectures supporting speculative execution (related to Spectre V1) has been disclosed. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to disclose arbitrary data from the CPU using race conditions to access the speculative executable code paths.
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the F5OS QKView utility that allows an authenticated attacker to read files outside the QKView directory.
