AMI MegaRAC SPx contains an authentication bypass by spoofing vulnerability in the Redfish Host Interface. A successful exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to a loss of confidentiality, integrity, and/or availability.

Ensure that args.acl is initialized early. It is used in an unconditional call to kfree() on the way out of nfsd4encodefattr4().

A flaw was found in OpenSSL. The crehash script does not properly sanitize shell meta-characters to prevent command injection. Some operating systems distribute this script in a manner where it is automatically executed. This flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script on these operating systems.
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in systemd. This issue occurs due to the onstreamio() function and dnsstreamcomplete() function in 'resolved-dns-stream.c' not incrementing the reference counting for the DnsStream object. Therefore, other functions and callbacks called can dereference the DNSStream object, causing the use-after-free when the reference is still used later.
A flaw was discovered in the cryptographic receive code in the Linux kernel's implementation of transparent interprocess communication. An attacker, with the ability to send TIPC messages to the target, can corrupt memory and escalate privileges on the target system.
A flaw was found in OpenSSL. The issue in CVE-2022-1292 did not find other places in the crehash script where it possibly passed the file names of certificates being hashed to a command executed through the shell. Some operating systems distribute this script in a manner where it is automatically executed. On these operating systems, this flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script.
A security vulnerability was found in zlib. The flaw triggered a heap-based buffer in inflate in the inflate.c function via a large gzip header extra field. This flaw is only applicable in the call inflateGetHeader.
A vulnerability was found in curl. The issue occurs when doing HTTP(S) transfers, where curl might erroneously use the read callback (CURLOPTREADFUNCTION) to ask for data to send, even when the CURLOPTPOSTFIELDS option has been set if it previously used the same handle to issue a PUT request which used that callback. This flaw may surprise the application and cause it to misbehave and either send off the wrong data or use memory after free or similar in the subsequent POST request.
A vulnerability was found in curl. This issue occurs because when curl saves cookies, alt-svc, and HSTS data to local files, it makes the operation atomic by finalizing the process with a rename from a temporary name to the final target file name. This flaw leads to unpreserved file permissions, either by mistake or by a malicious actor.
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.3.8. fs/smb/server/smb2pdu.c in ksmbd has an integer underflow and out-of-bounds read in deassemblenegcontexts.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ksmbd, a high-performance in-kernel SMB server. The specific flaw exists within the processing of SMB2TREEDISCONNECT commands. The issue results from the lack of proper locking when performing operations on an object. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the kernel.
A vulnerability in input validation exists in curl <8.0 during communication using the TELNET protocol may allow an attacker to pass on maliciously crafted user name and "telnet options" during server negotiation. The lack of proper input scrubbing allows an attacker to send content or perform option negotiation without the application's intent. This vulnerability could be exploited if an application allows user input thereby enabling attackers to execute arbitrary code on the system.

An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.3.4. ksmbd has an out-of-bounds read in smb2findcontextvals when createcontext's namelen is larger than the tag length.
A remote stack overflow in the TIPC networking module. With FORTIFYSOURCE's stricter memcpy() bounds checking, this can be exploited to cause remote DOS via kernel panic on systems using TIPC. Prior to these bounds checks, and with a canary leak (or no CONFIGSTACKPROTECTOR), this can be exploited for RCE.

A path traversal vulnerability exists in curl <8.0.0 SFTP implementation causes the tilde (~) character to be wrongly replaced when used as a prefix in the first path element in addition to its intended use as the first element to indicate a path relative to the user's home directory. Attackers can exploit this flaw to bypass filtering or execute arbitrary code by crafting a path like /~2/foo while accessing a server with a specific user.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s KVM implementation, where improper handing of the VMIO|VMPFNMAP VMAs in KVM bypasses RO checks and leads to pages being freed while still accessible by the VMM and guest. This flaw allows users who can start and control a VM to read/write random pages of memory, resulting in local privilege escalation. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, and system availability.

glibc is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a memory corruption by the Name Service Cache Daemon's (nscd) netgroup cache when the NSS callback fails to store all strings in the provided buffer. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to corrupt memory and cause a denial of service.
