A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in IPsec ESP transformation code in net/ipv4/esp4.c and net/ipv6/esp6.c. This flaw allows a local attacker with a normal user privilege to overwrite kernel heap objects and may cause a local privilege escalation threat.

An out-of-bounds (OOB) memory access flaw was found in fs/f2fs/node.c in the f2fs module in the Linux kernel in versions before 5.12.0-rc4. A bounds check failure allows a local attacker to gain access to out-of-bounds memory leading to a system crash or a leak of internal kernel information. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in btrfsrmdevice function in fs/btrfs/volumes.c in Linux Kernel, where triggering the bug requires ‘CAPSYSADMIN’. This could allow a local attacker to crash the system or leak kernel internal information.

An out-of-bounds (OOB) memory write flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s watchqueue event notification subsystem. This flaw can overwrite parts of the kernel state, potentially allowing a local user to gain privileged access or cause a denial of service on the system.
A flaw in the Linux Kernel found. If unprivileged users can mount FUSE filesystems, then can trigger use after free (UAF) that reads of write() buffers, allowing theft of (partial) /etc/shadow hashes or any other data from filesystem.
FUSE allows the userspace filesystem to specify on FUSEOPEN whether the file should use the normal kernel pagecache for handling read()/write() or just send FUSEREAD/FUSEWRITE requests directly to the userspace filesystem (using the flag FOPENDIRECTIO in fuseopenout::openflags).
In FOPENDIRECTIO mode, fusefilewriteiter() calls fusedirectwriteiter(), which normally calls fusedirectio(), which then imports the write buffer with fusegetuserpages(), which uses iovitergetpages() to grab references to userspace pages instead of actually copying memory.
On the filesystem device side, these pages can then either be read to userspace (via fusedevread()), or splice()d over into a pipe using fusedevspliceread() as pipe buffers with &nostealpipebufops.
This is wrong because after fusedevdoread() unlocks the FUSE request, the userspace filesystem can mark the request as completed, causing write() to return. At that point, the write buffer may be reused for other purposes, and the userspace filesystem should no longer have access to it.
A flaw in Linux Kernel found in nfcmrvlnciunregisterdev() in drivers/nfc/nfcmrvl/main.c can lead to use after free both read or write when non synchronized between cleanup routine and firmware download routine.
Guest triggered use-after-free in Linux xen-netback A malicious or buggy network PV frontend can force Linux netback to disable the interface and terminate the receive kernel thread associated with queue 0 in response to the frontend sending a malformed packet. Such kernel thread termination will lead to a use-after-free in Linux netback when the backend is destroyed, as the kernel thread associated with queue 0 will have already exited and thus the call to kthreadstop will be performed against a stale pointer.
An out-of-bounds (OOB) memory write flaw was found in the NFSD in the Linux kernel. Missing sanity may lead to a write beyond bmval[bmlen-1] in nfsd4decodebitmap4 in fs/nfsd/nfs4xdr.c.
In this flaw, a local attacker with user privilege may gain access to out-of-bounds memory, and write leading to a system integrity and confidentiality threat.

Impact Accepting the value of various Text options of the Datepicker widget from untrusted sources may execute untrusted code. Patches The issue is fixed in jQuery UI 1.13.0. The values passed to various Text options are now always treated as pure text, not HTML.
Workarounds A workaround is to not accept the value of the Text options from untrusted sources.

The value of internal.ndata, in the KVM API, is mapped to an array index, which can be updated by a user process at anytime which could lead to an out-of-bounds write. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data integrity and system availability.
A flaw was found in the Nosy driver in the Linux kernel in versions prior to v5.12-rc6. It allows a device to be inserted twice into a doubly linked list, leading to use-after-free when one of these devices is removed.

An information leak flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s IPv6 implementation in the ipv6selectident in net/ipv6/outputcore.c function. The use of a small hash table in IP ID generation allows a remote attacker to reveal sensitive information.
An issue was discovered in aspeedlpcctrlmmap in drivers/soc/aspeed/aspeed-lpc-ctrl.c in the Linux kernel before 5.14.6. Local attackers able to access the Aspeed LPC control interface could overwrite memory in the kernel and potentially execute privileges, aka CID-b49a0e69a7b1. This occurs because a certain comparison uses values that are not memory sizes.
A use-after-free exists in drivers/tee/teeshm.c in the TEE subsystem in the Linux kernel through 5.15.11. This occurs because of a race condition in teeshmgetfromid during an attempt to free a shared memory object.
A flaw was found in OpenSSL's Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response functionality in the signer certificate verification routines. This flaw could result in a linked application falsely believing that an x.509 Digital Certificate is either "good" or "unknown" when revoked and requires that the application use a non-default configuration. This vulnerability leads to an issue with data integrity and confidentiality.
A memory leak flaw was found in OpenSSL, resulting in TLS servers and clients being halted by out-of-memory conditions, leading to a denial of service. An attacker needs to repeat actions continuously to trigger this vulnerability, resulting in a loss of application availability.
A flaw was found in libxml2. A call to the xmlGetID function can return a pointer already freed when parsing an XML document with the XMLPARSEDTDVALID option and without the XMLPARSENOENT option, resulting in a use-after-free issue.
Impact Passing HTML containing <option> elements from untrusted sources - even after sanitizing them - to one of jQuery's DOM manipulation methods (i.e. .html(), .append(), and others) may execute untrusted code.
Patches This problem is patched in jQuery 3.5.0.
Workarounds To workaround this issue without upgrading, use DOMPurify with its SAFEFORJQUERY option to sanitize the HTML string before passing it to a jQuery method.

A flaw in the processing of received ICMP errors (ICMP fragment needed and ICMP redirect) in the Linux kernel functionality was found to allow the ability to quickly scan open UDP ports. This flaw allows an off-path remote user to effectively bypass the source port UDP randomization. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality and possibly integrity, because software that relies on UDP source port randomization are indirectly affected as well.
A race condition in Linux kernel SCTP sockets (net/sctp/socket.c) before 5.12-rc8 can lead to kernel privilege escalation from the context of a network service or an unprivileged process. If sctpdestroysock is called without socknet(sk)->sctp.addrwqlock then an element is removed from the autoasconfsplist list without any proper locking. This can be exploited by an attacker with network service privileges to escalate to root or from the context of an unprivileged user directly if a BPFCGROUPINETSOCKCREATE is attached which denies creation of some SCTP socket.

Patches This problem is patched in jQuery 3.5.0.
Workarounds To workaround the issue without upgrading, adding the following to your code:
