It was found that ceph-isci-cli package as shipped by Red Hat Ceph Storage 2 and 3 is using python-werkzeug in debug shell mode. This is done by setting debug=True in file /usr/bin/rbd-target-api provided by ceph-isci-cli package. This allows unauthenticated attackers to access this debug shell and escalate privileges. Once an attacker has successfully connected to this debug shell they will be able to execute arbitrary commands remotely. These commands will run with the same privileges as of user executing the application which is using python-werkzeug with debug shell mode enabled. In - Red Hat Ceph Storage 2 and 3, ceph-isci-cli package runs python-werkzeug library with root level permissions.
A flaw was found in the ZeroMQ server in versions before 4.3.3. This flaw allows a malicious client to cause a stack buffer overflow on the server by sending crafted topic subscription requests and then unsubscribing. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
A flaw was found in all python-ecdsa versions before 0.13.3, where it did not correctly verify whether signatures used DER encoding. Without this verification, a malformed signature could be accepted, making the signature malleable. Without proper verification, an attacker could use a malleable signature to create false transactions.
A flaw was found in Openstack manilla owning a Ceph File system "share", which enables the owner to read/write any manilla share or entire file system. The vulnerability is due to a bug in the "volumes" plugin in Ceph Manager. This allows an attacker to compromise Confidentiality and Integrity of a file system. Fixed in RHCS 5.2 and Ceph 17.2.2.
A flaw was found in the Cephx authentication protocol in versions before 15.2.6 and before 14.2.14, where it does not verify Ceph clients correctly and is then vulnerable to replay attacks in Nautilus. This flaw allows an attacker with access to the Ceph cluster network to authenticate with the Ceph service via a packet sniffer and perform actions allowed by the Ceph service. This issue is a reintroduction of CVE-2018-1128, affecting the msgr2 protocol. The msgr 2 protocol is used for all communication except older clients that do not support the msgr2 protocol. The msgr1 protocol is not affected. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, and system availability.
A flaw was found in the way ceph mon handles user requests. Any authenticated ceph user having read access to ceph can delete, and corrupt snapshot images.
This would require user to have read access and for that user must have key for authentication. It would only affect snapshots and images. So attacker with read access will only be able to corrupt data of snapshot images and rest of the ceph cluster should work as it is. Affect on integrity would be low and availability part can be controlled by mitigation using 'monallowpooldelete = false' in ceph.conf to disable deletion of pools
The RGW code in Ceph before 10.0.1, when authenticated-read ACL is applied to a bucket, allows remote attackers to list the bucket contents via a URL.
A flaw was found in the Ceph RGW configuration with Beast as the front end handling client requests. An unauthenticated attacker could crash the Ceph RGW server by sending valid HTTP headers and terminating the connection, resulting in a remote denial of service for Ceph RGW clients.
A flaw was found in the way Ceph Object Gateway would process cross-origin HTTP requests if the CORS policy was set to allow origin on a bucket. A remote unauthenticated attacker could use this flaw to cause denial of service by sending a specially-crafted cross-origin HTTP request. Ceph branches 1.3.x and 2.x are affected.
A path traversal flaw was found in the Ceph dashboard implemented in upstream versions v14.2.5, v14.2.6, v15.0.0 of Ceph storage and has been fixed in versions 14.2.7 and 15.1.0. An unauthenticated attacker could use this flaw to cause information disclosure on the host machine running the Ceph dashboard.
A vulnerability has been found in nxosfilecopy from Ansible module. Filenames are used to perform actions to copy files to a flash or bootflash on NXOS devices. However, nxosfilecopy takes remotefile parameter which is used for destination. Malicious code could crafts the filename parameter to take advantage by performing an OS command injection.
An authentication flaw was found in ceph in versions before 14.2.20. When the monitor handles CEPHXGETAUTHSESSIONKEY requests, it doesn't sanitize otherkeys, allowing key reuse. An attacker who can request a globalid can exploit the ability of any user to request a globalid previously associated with another user, as ceph does not force the reuse of old keys to generate new ones. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
A flaw was found in the Ansible Engine, in ansible-engine 2.8.x before 2.8.15 and ansible-engine 2.9.x before 2.9.13, when installing packages using the dnf module. GPG signatures are ignored during installation even when disablegpgcheck is set to False, which is the default behavior. This flaw leads to malicious packages being installed on the system and arbitrary code executed via package installation scripts. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to integrity and system availability.

An uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability was discovered in HAProxy which could crash the service. This issue could allow an authenticated remote attacker to run a specially crafted malicious server in an OpenShift cluster. The biggest impact is to availability.
A security issue was found that could allow any users with Editor or Admin permissions in Grafana to read any file that the Grafana process can read from the filesystem. Note, that in order to exploit this you would need to be logged in to the system as a legitimate user with Editor or Admin permissions.

A key length flaw was found in Red Hat Ceph Storage. An attacker can exploit the fact that the key length is incorrectly passed in an encryption algorithm to create a non random key, which is weaker and can be exploited for loss of confidentiality and integrity on encrypted disks.
Ansible, versions 2.9.x before 2.9.1, 2.8.x before 2.8.7 and Ansible versions 2.7.x before 2.7.15, is not respecting the flag nolog set it to True when Sumologic and Splunk callback plugins are used send tasks results events to collectors. This would discloses and collects any sensitive data.
A flaw was found in Ceph, relating to the URL processing on RGW backends. An attacker can exploit the URL processing by providing a null URL to crash the RGW, causing a denial of service.
An information-disclosure flaw was found in Grafana through 6.7.3. The database directory /var/lib/grafana and database file /var/lib/grafana/grafana.db are world readable. This can result in exposure of sensitive information (e.g., cleartext or encrypted datasource passwords).
A flaw was found in Django REST Framework versions before 3.12.0 and before 3.11.2. When using the browseable API viewer, Django REST Framework fails to properly escape certain strings that can come from user input. This allows a user who can control those strings to inject malicious <script> tags, leading to a cross-site-scripting (XSS) vulnerability.
A flaw was found in the Ceph Object Gateway, where it supports request sent by an anonymous user in Amazon S3. This flaw could lead to potential XSS attacks due to the lack of proper neutralization of untrusted input.
A flaw was found in Ceph-ansible v4.0.41 where it creates an /etc/ceph/iscsi-gateway.conf with insecure default permissions. This flaw allows any user on the system to read sensitive information within this file. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
A flaw was found in Ansible Engine affecting Ansible Engine versions 2.7.x before 2.7.17 and 2.8.x before 2.8.11 and 2.9.x before 2.9.7 as well as Ansible Tower before and including versions 3.4.5 and 3.5.5 and 3.6.3 when using modules which decrypts vault files such as assemble, script, unarchive, wincopy, awss3 or copy modules. The temporary directory is created in /tmp leaves the s ts unencrypted. On Operating Systems which /tmp is not a tmpfs but part of the root partition, the directory is only cleared on boot and the decryp emains when the host is switched off. The system will be vulnerable when the system is not running. So decrypted data must be cleared as soon as possible and the data which normally is encrypted ble.
A flaw was found in ceph in versions prior to 16.y.z where ceph stores mgr module passwords in clear text. This can be found by searching the mgr logs for grafana and dashboard, with passwords visible.
