Tavis Ormandy and Julien Tinnes, Google Security Team reported that Kernels <= 2.6.18.8 are vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference issue when using MSGMORE on udp sockets.

Fixed upstream already by: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commitdiff;h=1e0c14f49d6b393179f423abbac47f85618d3d46

Buffer Overflow, Null Pointer Dereference
AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C

Description of problem: Reported by Tavis Ormandy and Julien Tinnes. The SOCKOPSWRAP macro from include/linux/net.h doesn't initialise the sendpage operation in the protoops structure correctly. Leading to a kernel NULL pointer dereference, and thus a local privilege escalation.

It was found that the Linux kernel's Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) implementation before 2.6.22.17 used the IPv4-only inetskrebuildheader() function for both IPv4 and IPv6 DCCP connections, which could result in memory corruptions. A remote attacker could use this flaw to crash the system.

Hashed codes of JavaScript objects are shared between pages. This allows for pointer leaks because an object's address can be discovered through hash codes, and also allows for data leakage of an object's content using these hash codes. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 45.7, Firefox ESR < 45.7, and Firefox < 51.

WebExtension scripts can use the "data:" protocol to affect pages loaded by other web extensions using this protocol, leading to potential data disclosure or privilege escalation in affected extensions. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 45.7 and Firefox < 51.

An attacker could use a JavaScript Map/Set timing attack to determine whether an atom is used by another compartment/zone in specific contexts. This could be used to leak information, such as usernames embedded in JavaScript code, across websites.

External resources that should be blocked when loaded by SVG images can bypass security restrictions through the use of "data:" URLs. This could allow for cross-domain data leakage. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.1, Firefox ESR < 45.6, and Thunderbird < 45.6.

The Pocket toolbar button, once activated, listens for events fired from it's own pages but does not verify the origin of incoming events. This allows content from other origins to fire events and inject content and commands into the Pocket context. Note: this issue does not affect users with e10s enabled.

A defect in BIND's handling of responses containing a DNAME answer can cause a resolver to exit after encountering an assertion failure in db.c or resolver.c

During processing of a recursive response that contains a DNAME record in the answer section, BIND can stop execution after encountering an assertion error in resolver.c (error message: "INSIST((valoptions & 0x0002U) != 0) failed") or db.c (error message: "REQUIRE(targetp != ((void )0) && targetp == ((void )0)) failed").

A server encountering either of these error conditions will stop, resulting in denial of service to clients. The risk to authoritative servers is minimal; recursive servers are chiefly at risk.

In both triggerscan and schedscan operations, we were checking for the SSID length before assigning the value correctly. Since the memory was just kzalloc'ed, the check was always failing and SSID with over 32 characters were allowed to go through.

This is causing a buffer overflow when copying the actual SSID to the proper place.
