A flaw was found in Apache Commons FileUpload, where it does not limit the number of parts being processed in a request. This issue may allow an attacker to use a malicious upload or series of uploads to trigger a denial of service. While Red Hat Satellite relies upon Apache Tomcat, it does not directly ship it. Tomcat is shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and consumed by the Candlepin component of Satellite. Red Hat Satellite users are therefore advised to check the impact state of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, since any necessary fixes will be distributed through the platform.

A carefully crafted request body can cause a read to a random memory area which could cause the process to crash. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.52 and earlier.
A flaw was found in OpenSSL. It is possible to trigger an infinite loop by crafting a certificate that has invalid elliptic curve parameters. Since certificate parsing happens before verification of the certificate signature, any process that parses an externally supplied certificate may be subject to a denial of service attack.
regex is an implementation of regular expressions for the Rust language. The regex crate features built-in mitigations to prevent denial of service attacks caused by untrusted regexes, or untrusted input matched by trusted regexes. Those (tunable) mitigations already provide sane defaults to prevent attacks. This guarantee is documented and it's considered part of the crate's API. Unfortunately a bug was discovered in the mitigations designed to prevent untrusted regexes to take an arbitrary amount of time during parsing, and it's possible to craft regexes that bypass such mitigations. This makes it possible to perform denial of service attacks by sending specially crafted regexes to services accepting user-controlled, untrusted regexes. All versions of the regex crate before or equal to 1.5.4 are affected by this issue. The fix is include starting from regex 1.5.5. All users accepting user-controlled regexes are recommended to upgrade immediately to the latest version of the regex crate. Unfortunately there is no fixed set of problematic regexes, as there are practically infinite regexes that could be crafted to exploit this vulnerability. Because of this, it us not recommend to deny known problematic regexes.
A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in IPsec ESP transformation code in net/ipv4/esp4.c and net/ipv6/esp6.c. This flaw allows a local attacker with a normal user privilege to overwrite kernel heap objects and may cause a local privilege escalation threat.
A flaw in the Linux Kernel found. If unprivileged users can mount FUSE filesystems, then can trigger use after free (UAF) that reads of write() buffers, allowing theft of (partial) /etc/shadow hashes or any other data from filesystem.
FUSE allows the userspace filesystem to specify on FUSEOPEN whether the file should use the normal kernel pagecache for handling read()/write() or just send FUSEREAD/FUSEWRITE requests directly to the userspace filesystem (using the flag FOPENDIRECTIO in fuseopenout::openflags).
In FOPENDIRECTIO mode, fusefilewriteiter() calls fusedirectwriteiter(), which normally calls fusedirectio(), which then imports the write buffer with fusegetuserpages(), which uses iovitergetpages() to grab references to userspace pages instead of actually copying memory.
On the filesystem device side, these pages can then either be read to userspace (via fusedevread()), or splice()d over into a pipe using fusedevspliceread() as pipe buffers with &nostealpipebufops.
This is wrong because after fusedevdoread() unlocks the FUSE request, the userspace filesystem can mark the request as completed, causing write() to return. At that point, the write buffer may be reused for other purposes, and the userspace filesystem should no longer have access to it.

A stack overflow flaw was found in Golang's regexp module, which can crash the runtime if the application using regexp accepts very long or arbitrarily long regexps from untrusted sources that have sufficient nesting depths. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would need to send large regexps with deep nesting to the application. Triggering this flaw leads to a crash of the runtime, which causes a denial of service.
A flaw was found in libxml2. A call to the xmlGetID function can return a pointer already freed when parsing an XML document with the XMLPARSEDTDVALID option and without the XMLPARSENOENT option, resulting in a use-after-free issue.
A flaw was found in the SQL plugin shipped with Cyrus SASL. The vulnerability occurs due to failure to properly escape SQL input and leads to an improper input validation vulnerability. This flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands and the ability to change the passwords for other accounts allowing escalation of privileges.

drivers/usb/gadget/legacy/inode.c in the Linux kernel through 5.16.8 mishandles dev->buf release.
Impact Prior to puma version 5.6.2, puma may not always call close on the response body. Rails, prior to version 7.0.2.2, depended on the response body being closed in order for its CurrentAttributes implementation to work correctly.
From Rails:
Under certain circumstances response bodies will not be closed, for example a bug in a webserver[1] or a bug in a Rack middleware. In the event a response is not notified of a close, ActionDispatch::Executor will not know to reset thread local state for the next request. This can lead to data being leaked to subsequent requests, especially when interacting with ActiveSupport::CurrentAttributes.
The combination of these two behaviors (Puma not closing the body + Rails' Executor implementation) causes information leakage.
Patches This problem is fixed in Puma versions 5.6.2 and 4.3.11.
This problem is fixed in Rails versions 7.02.2, 6.1.4.6, 6.0.4.6, and 5.2.6.2.

XStream is an open source java library to serialize objects to XML and back again. Versions prior to 1.4.19 may allow a remote attacker to allocate 100% CPU time on the target system depending on CPU type or parallel execution of such a payload resulting in a denial of service only by manipulating the processed input stream. XStream 1.4.19 monitors and accumulates the time it takes to add elements to collections and throws an exception if a set threshold is exceeded. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. Users unable to upgrade may set the NOREFERENCE mode to prevent recursion. See GHSA-rmr5-cpv2-vgjf for further details on a workaround if an upgrade is not possible.

In api.rb in Sidekiq before 5.2.10 and 6.4.0, there is no limit on the number of days when requesting stats for the graph. This overloads the system, affecting the Web UI, and makes it unavailable to users.
A flaw was found in the big package of the math library in golang. The Rat.SetString could cause an overflow, and if left unhandled, it could lead to excessive memory use. This issue could allow a remote attacker to impact the availability of the system.
Impact The HTML Cleaner in lxml.html lets certain crafted script content pass through, as well as script content in SVG files embedded using data URIs.
Users that employ the HTML cleaner in a security relevant context should upgrade to lxml 4.6.5.
Patches The issue has been resolved in lxml 4.6.5.
