An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the JSSE component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information resulting in a low confidentiality impact using unknown attack vectors.

A flaw was found in nss. Using the EM side-channel, it is possible to extract the position of zero and non-zero wNAF digits while nss-certutil tool performs scalar multiplication during the ECDSA signature generation, leaking partial information about the ECDSA nonce. Given a small number of ECDSA signatures, this information can be used to steal the private key. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality.
Apache CXF could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a flaw when ships with OpenId Connect JWK Keys service. By accessing the JWK keystore file, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain the public keys in JWK format, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.
A flaw was found in the way Apache CXF handle exceptions when CXF is configured to use the com.sun.net.ssl implementation via System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol") function. When this system property is set, CXF uses some reflection to try to make the HostnameVerifier work with the old com.sun.net.ssl.HostnameVerifier interface. However, the default HostnameVerifier implementation in CXF does not implement the method in this interface therefore an exception is thrown. The exception is caught in the reflection code but not properly propagated which leaves CXF client subject to man-in-the-middle attacks.

A flaw was found in Apache CXF prior to 3.2.1 and 3.1.14. It is possible to craft a message attachment header that could lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack on a CXF web service provider. Both JAX-WS and JAX-RS services are vulnerable to this attack.

A vulnerability in the JsonMapObjectReaderWriter of Apache CXF allows an attacker to submit malformed JSON to a web service, which results in the thread getting stuck in an infinite loop, consuming CPU indefinitely. This issue affects Apache CXF versions prior to 3.4.4; Apache CXF versions prior to 3.3.11.
Apache CXF is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper validation of requesturi parameter by the OAuth 2 authorization service. By sending a specially-crafted request, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service condition on the authorization server.
Apache CXF before 3.3.4 and 3.2.11 does not restrict the number of message attachments present in a given message. This leaves open the possibility of a denial of service type attack, where a malicious user crafts a message containing a very large number of message attachments. From the 3.3.4 and 3.2.11 releases, a default limit of 50 message attachments is enforced. This is configurable via the message property "attachment-max-count".
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in the way sudo parses command line arguments.
As per the researcher this vulnerability:
- is exploitable by any local user (normal users and system users, sudoers and non-sudoers), without authentication (i.e., the attacker does not need to know the user's password);
- was introduced in July 2011 (commit 8255ed69), and affects all legacy versions from 1.8.2 to 1.8.31p2 and all stable versions from 1.9.0 to 1.9.5p1, in their default configuration.
This could lead to privilege escalation.
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect input validation, it can interpret crafted HTTP requests in unexpected ways to access server resources prohibited by earlier security filters.
An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. Due to incorrect buffer management, a remote client can cause a buffer overflow in a Squid instance acting as a reverse proxy.
GNOME libxml2 is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error in xmlStringLenDecodeEntities in parser.c. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to enter into an infinite loop.
Apache CXF has the ability to integrate with JMX by registering an InstrumentationManager extension with the CXF bus. If the createMBServerConnectorFactory property of the default InstrumentationManagerImpl is not disabled, then it is vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle (MITM) style attack. An attacker on the same host can connect to the registry and rebind the entry to another server, thus acting as a proxy to the original. They are then able to gain access to all of the information that is sent and received over JMX.

An issue was discovered in Squid before 4.10. It allows a crafted FTP server to trigger disclosure of sensitive information from heap memory, such as information associated with other users' sessions or non-Squid processes.
A flaw was found in the way the Attributes class in the Libraries component of OpenJDK performed reading of attributes with very long values from JAR file manifests. A specially-crafted JAR archive could cause a Java application reading its manifest to use excessive amount of system resources and hang.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Libraries component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service resulting in a low availability impact using unknown attack vectors.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Libraries component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service resulting in a low availability impact using unknown attack vectors.
A flaw was found in the way the Hotspot component of OpenJDK handled array indexes on 64-bit x86 platform. A large index could trigger a displacement overflow in LIRGenerator::emitarrayaddress, possibly leading to an access at an invalid array position.
A flaw was found in the way the BMPImageReader class implementation in the ImageIO component of OpenJDK preformed memory allocations when reading palette information from BMP images. A specially-crafted BMP file could cause a Java application to consume an excessive amount of memory when opened.
An unspecified vulnerability in Java SE related to the Serialization component could allow an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service resulting in a low availability impact using unknown attack vectors.
A flaw was found in the way the Hotspot component of OpenJDK processed classes with fields that needed to be written to in Rewriter::scanmethod(). A specially-crafted Java class file could use this flaw to crash Java virtual machine.
Apache CXF is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the services listing page. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the styleSheetPath in a specially-crafted URL to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the URL is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
A memory leak was found in the xmlSchemaValidateStream function of libxml2. Applications that use this library may be vulnerable to memory not being freed leading to a denial of service. System availability is the highest threat from this vulnerability.
Mozilla Firefox could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by an out-of-bounds read when importing a curve25519 private key in PKCS#8format. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using unknown attack vectors to obtain sensitive information.
cURL libcurl is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the tftpreceivepacket function. By sending specially-crafted request containing an OACK without the BLKSIZE option, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
A flaw was discovered in dbus where the implementation of DBUSCOOKIESHA1 is susceptible to a symbolic link attack. A malicious client with write access to its own home directory could manipulate a ~/.dbus-keyrings symlink to cause the DBusServer to read and write in unintended locations. This could result in authentication bypass.
filecopyfallback in gio/gfile.c in GNOME GLib 2.15.0 through 2.61.1 creates new files with default permissions and set the correct permissions after the operation is finished. This might cause that the files can be accessible by more users during the operation than expected.
