Apache Tomcat contains a path equivalence vulnerability that allows a remote attacker to execute code, disclose information, or inject malicious content via a partial PUT request. This vulnerability can be chained with CVE‑2026‑34486.
Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition vulnerability during JSP compilation in Apache Tomcat permits an RCE on case insensitive file systems when the default servlet is enabled for write (non-default configuration).
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.1, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.33, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.97.
The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are known to be affected: 8.5.0 though 8.5.100. Other, older, EOL versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.2, 10.1.34 or 9.0.98, which fixes the issue.
Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition vulnerability in Apache Tomcat.

The mitigation for CVE-2024-50379 was incomplete.
Users running Tomcat on a case insensitive file system with the default servlet write enabled (readonly initialisation parameter set to the non-default value of false) may need additional configuration to fully mitigate CVE-2024-50379 depending on which version of Java they are using with Tomcat: - running on Java 8 or Java 11: the system property sun.io.useCanonCaches must be explicitly set to false (it defaults to true) - running on Java 17: the system property sun.io.useCanonCaches, if set, must be set to false (it defaults to false) - running on Java 21 onwards: no further configuration is required (the system property and the problematic cache have been removed)
Tomcat 11.0.3, 10.1.35 and 9.0.99 onwards will include checks that sun.io.useCanonCaches is set appropriately before allowing the default servlet to be write enabled on a case insensitive file system. Tomcat will also set sun.io.useCanonCaches to false by default where it can.

A flaw was found in OpenSSL. The issue in CVE-2022-1292 did not find other places in the crehash script where it possibly passed the file names of certificates being hashed to a command executed through the shell. Some operating systems distribute this script in a manner where it is automatically executed. On these operating systems, this flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script.
A vulnerability was found in curl. This issue occurs because when curl saves cookies, alt-svc, and HSTS data to local files, it makes the operation atomic by finalizing the process with a rename from a temporary name to the final target file name. This flaw leads to unpreserved file permissions, either by mistake or by a malicious actor.
Accounts. The issue was addressed with improved checks.
less could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system. By using a newline character in the name of a file, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
A security regression (CVE-2006-5051) was discovered in OpenSSH's server (sshd). There is a race condition which can lead sshd to handle some signals in an unsafe manner. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may be able to trigger it by failing to authenticate within a set time period.
A flaw was found in libxml2. A call to the xmlGetID function can return a pointer already freed when parsing an XML document with the XMLPARSEDTDVALID option and without the XMLPARSENOENT option, resulting in a use-after-free issue.
An improper authentication vulnerability exists in curl 7.33.0 to and including 7.82.0 which might allow reuse OAUTH2-authenticated connections without properly making sure that the connection was authenticated with the same credentials as set for this transfer. This affects SASL-enabled protocols: SMPTP(S) IMAP(S) POP3(S) and LDAP(S) (openldap only).
A vulnerability was found in cgroupreleaseagentwrite in kernel/cgroup/cgroup-v1.c in the Linux kernel. In this flaw, under certain circumstances, the cgroups v1 releaseagent feature can be used to escalate privilege and bypass namespace isolation unexpectedly.

A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nftables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation.
The nftverdictinit() function allows positive values as drop error within the hook verdict, and hence the nfhookslow() function can cause a double free vulnerability when NFDROP is issued with a drop error which resembles NFACCEPT.

A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBCTUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBCTUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
ISC BIND is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error when preparing an NSEC3 closest encloser proof. By flooding the target resolver with queries, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause CPU exhaustion on a DNSSEC-validating resolver.
Abnormal termination of an application can a cause a denial of service.
Applications performing certificate name checks (e.g., TLS clients checking server certificates) may attempt to read an invalid memory address when comparing the expected name with an otherName subject alternative name of an X.509 certificate. This may result in an exception that terminates the application program.
Note that basic certificate chain validation (signatures, dates, ...) is not affected, the denial of service can occur only when the application also specifies an expected DNS name, Email address or IP address.
TLS servers rarely solicit client certificates, and even when they do, they generally don't perform a name check against a "reference identifier" (expected identity), but rather extract the presented identity after checking the certificate chain. So TLS servers are generally not affected and the severity of the issue is Moderate.
The FIPS modules in 3.3, 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are not affected by this issue. OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are also not affected by this issue.
OpenSSL 3.3, 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are vulnerable to this issue.
OpenSSL 3.3 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.3.2
OpenSSL 3.2 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.2.3
OpenSSL 3.1 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.1.7
OpenSSL 3.0 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.0.15
Description There exists a security vulnerability in Jetty's DosFilter which can be exploited by unauthorized users to cause remote denial-of-service (DoS) attack on the server using DosFilter. By repeatedly sending crafted requests, attackers can trigger OutofMemory errors and exhaust the server's memory finally.
Vulnerability details The Jetty DoSFilter (Denial of Service Filter) is a security filter designed to protect web applications against certain types of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and other abusive behavior. It helps to mitigate excessive resource consumption by limiting the rate at which clients can make requests to the server. The DoSFilter monitors and tracks client request patterns, including request rates, and can take actions such as blocking or delaying requests from clients that exceed predefined thresholds. The internal tracking of requests in DoSFilter is the source of this OutOfMemory condition.
Impact Users of the DoSFilter may be subject to DoS attacks that will ultimately exhaust the memory of the server if they have not configured session passivation or an aggressive session inactivation timeout.
Patches The DoSFilter has been patched in all active releases to no longer support the session tracking mode, even if configured.

A flaw was found in Apache Santuario (XML Security for Java) in the way it processed some paths. A remote attacker could use this flaw to circumvent the "secure validation" feature and disclose potentially sensitive information in local XML files.
A vulnerability was discovered in Python. A quadratic algorithm exists when processing inputs to the IDNA (RFC 3490) decoder, such that a crafted unreasonably long name being presented to the decoder could lead to a CPU denial of service. Hostnames are often supplied by remote servers that could be controlled by a malicious actor, which could trigger excessive CPU consumption on the client attempting to make use of an attacker-supplied hostname.
curl 7.41.0 through 7.73.0 is vulnerable to an improper check for certificate revocation due to insufficient verification of the OCSP response.
A RangeCheckElimination array index overflow was found in OpenJDK.

Dnspython is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a flaw in stub resolver when a bad-in-some-way response arrives before a legitimate one on the UDP port dnspython is using for that query. By sending a specially crafted query, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service condition.
An issue was discovered in splithugepmd in mm/hugememory.c in the Linux kernel before 5.7.5. The copy-on-write implementation can grant unintended write access because of a race condition in a THP mapcount check, aka CID-c444eb564fb1.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel on s390 architecture. The issue occurs on multiprocessing systems when one s390 CPU is in Secondary Address Mode and another CPU does a kernel page table upgrade. An inter-processor interrupt (IPI) is then sent to each active CPU to update the control registers with new page table addresses. In Secondary Address Mode the CPU's CR1 register may hold kernel space address to fetch instructions from, but after IPI processing, the same CR1 register is set to point to a user space address. An unprivileged user or process on the system may use this flaw to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
A use-after-free read flaw was found in sockgetsockopt() in net/core/sock.c due to SOPEERCRED and SOPEERGROUPS race with listen() (and connect()) in the Linux kernel. In this flaw, an attacker with a user privilege may lead to a system crash or a leak of internal kernel information.
In this, if the creds are replaced and freed at the wrong time, a use-after-free read occurs.

A vulnerability was found in sgwrite in drivers/scsi/sg.c in SCSI generic (sg) driver subsystem. An attacker with a local access and special user privilege (or root) can cause a denial of service (DoS) if allocated list is not cleaned with invalid (Sgfd sfp) pointer at the time of failure, failing this can even cause a kernel internal information leak problem.

cURL libcurl could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a flaw when using OCSP stapling to validate server cerficate. By sending a specially crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to establish the connection even if the certificate is revoked.
A vulnerability was found in curl. This issue occurs because the number of acceptable "links" in the "decompression chain" was unbounded, allowing a malicious server to insert a virtually unlimited number of compression steps. This flaw leads to a denial of service, either by mistake or by a malicious actor.
gadgetdevdescUDCstore in drivers/usb/gadget/configfs.c in the Linux kernel 3.16 through 5.6.13 relies on kstrdup without considering the possibility of an internal '\0' value, which allows attackers to trigger an out-of-bounds read, aka CID-15753588bcd4.
