Versions of the Official Alpine Linux Docker images (since v3.3) contain a NULL password for the root user. This vulnerability appears to be the result of a regression introduced in December of 2015. Due to the nature of this issue, systems deployed using affected versions of the Alpine Linux container which utilize Linux PAM, or some other mechanism which uses the system shadow file as an authentication database, may accept a NULL password for the root user.
Mozilla developers and community members André Bargull, Christian Holler, Natalia Csoregi, Raul Gurzau, Daniel Varga, Jon Coppeard, Marcia Knous, Gary Kwong, Randell Jesup, David Bolter, Jeff Gilbert, and Deian Stefan reported memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 68 and Thunderbird 68. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code.
Mozilla developers and community members Andreea Pavel, Christian Holler, Honza Bambas, Jason Kratzer, and Jeff Gilbert reported memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 68, Firefox ESR 60.8, and Thunderbird 68. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort that some of these could be exploited to run arbitrary code.
Mozilla developers and community members Jason Kratzer, Simon Giesecke, Philipp, and Christian Holler reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 81 and Firefox ESR 78.3. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code.
An issue was discovered in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ through 66.1. An integer overflow, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow, exists in the UnicodeString::doAppend() function in common/unistr.cpp.
A vulnerability was found in SQLAlchemy 1.2.17. An SQL Injection when the orderby parameter can be controlled.

A flaw was reported in kernel TCP subsystem while calculating a packet round trip time, when a sysctl parameter (/proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcpminrttwlen) when is set wrongly. This causes an integer over flaw which can lead to a Denial Of Service (DOS) attack.

An issue was discovered in SearchController in phpMyAdmin before 4.9.6 and 5.x before 5.0.3. A SQL injection vulnerability was discovered in how phpMyAdmin processes SQL statements in the search feature. An attacker could use this flaw to inject malicious SQL in to a query.
rdesktop versions up to and including v1.8.3 contain a Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in function uicliphandledata() that results in a memory corruption and probably even a remote code execution.
rdesktop versions up to and including v1.8.3 contain a Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in function processplane() that results in a memory corruption and probably even a remote code execution.
rdesktop versions up to and including v1.8.3 contain an Integer Overflow that leads to a Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in function processbitmapupdates() and results in a memory corruption and probably even a remote code execution.
libproxy is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking. By persuading a victim to open a specially crafted PAC file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
GraphicsMagick before 1.3.35 has an integer overflow and resultant heap-based buffer overflow in HuffmanDecodeImage in magick/compress.c.
In Live555 before 2019.02.27, malformed headers lead to invalid memory access in the parseAuthorizationHeader function.
In GraphicsMagick 1.4 snapshot-20190403 Q8, there is a use-after-free in ThrowException and ThrowLoggedException of magick/error.c.
A External Control of File Name or Path vulnerability in osc of SUSE Linux Enterprise Module for Development Tools 15, SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit 12-SP5, SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit 12-SP4; openSUSE Leap 15.1, openSUSE Factory allowed remote attackers that can change downloaded packages to overwrite arbitrary files. This issue affects: SUSE Linux Enterprise Module for Development Tools 15 osc versions prior to 0.169.1-3.20.1. SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit 12-SP5 osc versions prior to 0.162.1-15.9.1. SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit 12-SP4 osc versions prior to 0.162.1-15.9.1. openSUSE Leap 15.1 osc versions prior to 0.169.1-lp151.2.15.1. openSUSE Factory osc versions prior to 0.169.0 .
The server in Chocolate Doom 3.0.0 and Crispy Doom 5.8.0 doesn't validate the user-controlled numplayers value, leading to a buffer overflow. A malicious user can overwrite the server's stack.
Roundcube Webmail before 1.4.4 allows attackers to include local files and execute code via directory traversal in a plugin name to rcubepluginapi.php.
jbig2imagecompose in jbig2image.c in Artifex jbig2dec before 0.18 has a heap-based buffer overflow.
SchedMD Slurm 17.11.x, 18.08.0 through 18.08.7, and 19.05.0 allows SQL Injection.
A flaw was found in ghostscript, versions 9.x before 9.50, in the setsystemparams procedure where it did not properly secure its privileged calls, enabling scripts to bypass -dSAFER restrictions. A specially crafted PostScript file could disable security protection and then have access to the file system, or execute arbitrary commands.

A Use After Free vulnerability in wicked of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15; openSUSE Leap 15.1, Factory allows remote attackers to cause DoS or potentially code execution. This issue affects: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 wicked versions prior to 0.6.60-3.5.1. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 wicked versions prior to 0.6.60-3.21.1. openSUSE Leap 15.1 wicked versions prior to 0.6.60-lp151.2.6.1. openSUSE Factory wicked versions prior to 0.6.62.
An issue was found in Git before v2.24.1, v2.23.1, v2.22.2, v2.21.1, v2.20.2, v2.19.3, v2.18.2, v2.17.3, v2.16.6, v2.15.4, and v2.14.6. When running Git in the Windows Subsystem for Linux (also known as "WSL") while accessing a working directory on a regular Windows drive, none of the NTFS protections were active.
An issue was discovered in Rsyslog v8.1908.0. contrib/pmcisconames/pmcisconames.c has a heap overflow in the parser for Cisco log messages. The parser tries to locate a log message delimiter (in this case, a space or a colon), but fails to account for strings that do not satisfy this constraint. If the string does not match, then the variable lenMsg will reach the value zero and will skip the sanity check that detects invalid log messages. The message will then be considered valid, and the parser will eat up the nonexistent colon delimiter. In doing so, it will decrement lenMsg, a signed integer, whose value was zero and now becomes minus one. The following step in the parser is to shift left the contents of the message. To do this, it will call memmove with the right pointers to the target and destination strings, but the lenMsg will now be interpreted as a huge value, causing a heap overflow.
